Ready?

Okay, so i’ve been out and about for the past few weeks.
And this past weekend, I went to Chicago to visit Calvin.
Being my first trip to live the daily lifestyle of the city, it really sucked not having a car.
Otherwise, everything else was lovely.

I’m kinda tired of telling it all, so i’ma just post up pics and some comments.

there are places i remember all my life though some have changed

James and I went airsofting over the weekend. For those of you that don’t know, airsoft is “game in which players participate in the simulation of military or law enforcement combat with replica military firearms and military-style tactics.” I was pretty nervous, having never gone to one, nor having never been shot on purpose. Anywho, this particular event took place at a paintball park in Lake Elsinore. We got there early Sunday morning and geared up at my car in our desert gear.

To prevent people from killing each other with tweaked guns, you are supposed to chrono your guns to measure how fast they fire. An average gun can range from 150-350 feet per second. (I think) After all the prepping and shiznit, we got on the field for briefing.

It was pretty fun at first. Everyone was following their platoon leader’s orders and taking it nice and easy. We won the first game by default. Some loser on the other team brought some explosives which are banned from the park. As the games progressed, people got more and more restless. It was truely desert vs. woodland. Snipers were shooting people at spawn and at point blank range. Totally uncool. It got tiring rather quick, so James and I decided to call it quits midday. We headed back home and got some L&L’s.

One another note, James, Marvin and I decided to take up StarCraft again. It’s been such a long time since I’ve played, and I still suck just as much. So it’s really only fun up until I start dying. I just can’t keep track of all the stuff going on. It’s okay, maybe I’ll get better eventually.

And on a more personal note, these days are such a big contrast from last year. It’s still fun and great and all, but bah, it’s just me reminiscing…

Goddamn Little Manhattan. I hate you girls.
